The following work is scheduled for this week on Interstate 81. Special Events: The SWB Rail Riders will have home games on the following dates and times. The following work is scheduled for this week on Interstate 81. Interstate 81: Special Events: Exit 188 (Dunmore/Throop) – There will be traffic stoppages on the ramps to and from the highway due to the Lackawanna College Police Academy Protect & Defend 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, May 24 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Please use caution when traveling through this area in order to maintain the safety of all runners/walkers. PennDOT Crews Out in Force to Address Pothole Concerns

Harrisburg, PA – Following a colder-than-average winter and weeks of dramatic temperature swings, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation acting Secretary Leslie S. Richards today advised Pennsylvanians that PennDOT crews are aggressively tackling the growing number or potholes appearing on state-owned roadways. “We’ve had a rough couple of winters, including repeated rounds of freeze/thaw cycles,” Richards said. “Our road crews are out there working as quickly as possible to address potholes, and we’re asking motorists for help by informing us about where there are roadway concerns.” In addition to the potholes addressed through continued monitoring by PennDOT crews, more than 3,600 pothole concerns have been reported to PennDOT and nearly … Continue reading
