PennDOT District 4-0 Projects Funded Through Act 89

Below is a list of the numerous projects that are currently underway in NEPA as a direct result of the Governor’s Transportation Funding Bill that was recently passed by the legislature.

Act 89 Projects for this Construction Season

  • I-81 (Lackawanna County) and I-84 (Pike County) resurfacing (37.42 miles), Lackawanna and Pike Counties – $3.98 million; expected completion October 2014.
  • I-84 Dunmore Roaring Brook and Jefferson Townships – repaving from Exit 2 to Exit 8, (15.3 miles), Lackawanna County – $6.6 million; expected completion November 2014.
  • I-84 Westbound – Dingman, Blooming Grove and Palmyra Townships from SR 2011 Bridge to Pike County Rest Area, (19 miles) Pike County $5.5 million; expected completion November 2014.
  • SR 11, SR 29, SR 940, SR 2001, SR 2002, SR 2004, SR 2006 SR 3001,and SR 3034  repaving in Salem Township and other municipalities (22.7 miles), Luzerne County – $6.5 million; expected completion August 2015
  • SR 29 (7  miles), SR 92 (13 miles) in Susquehanna County; SR 29 (3.1 miles) and SR 92 (6 miles) in Wyoming County (29 miles total) – $6 million; expected completion October 2014
  • SR 29 (Wyoming County) & SR 309, SR 2006, SR 3007 and SR 4035 (Luzerne County), repaving (20 miles), Luzerne and Wyoming Counties – $6.3 million; expected completion October 2015
  • SR 87, Bridge Replacement Over Mehoopany Creek, Wyoming County – $2.8 million; expected completion September 2015
  • SR 92 (1.3 miles) and SR 267 (7 miles) in Susquehanna County; SR 92 (7 miles) in Wyoming County (15 miles total) Lackawanna & Susquehanna Counties – $4.2 million; expected completion November 2014
  • SR 167, SR 92, Various Municipalities, repaving (18 miles), Susquehanna County – $3.9 million; expected completion June 2015
  • SR 307, SR 3011 and SR 6307, Scranton – Keyser Avenue from Market Street to Ferdinand Street (6.66 miles), SR 4026 (Grove Street) SR 3013 (Main Street, Scranton) Lackawanna County – $4.6 million; expected completion October 2015
  • SR 309, City of Hazleton, Hazle, and Butler and Townships from Green Street in Hazleton to Maces Road near I-80 interchange in Butler, (10.37 miles), and SR 415 (Memorial Highway) in Harvey’s Lake/Dallas/Lehman, Luzerne County –  $6.5 million; expected completion August 2015
  • SR 347 and SR 3013, repaving in Taylor, Throop and Dunmore, Lackawanna County – (11 miles) $3.8 million; expected completion, May 2015
  • SR 507 (6.5 miles), SR 191 (3 miles), SR 2003 (6.5 miles), SR 3007 (3 miles), SR 4033 (5 miles), Greene, Palmyra and Various Townships near Tanglewood Resort, Pike and Wayne Counties – $4.6 million; expected completion October 2014
  • SR 507, Superstructure Replacement, Greene Township over East Branch of Wallenpaupack Creek Susquehanna Paving, Pike County $595,000; expected completion September 2015
  • SR 590 and SR 191, various municipalities, repaving (22 miles), Wayne County – $5.4 million; expected completion May 2015
  • SR 670 (Wayne County) and SR 402 & SR 434 (Pike County), repaving (7 miles), Wayne and Pike Counties – $4.4 million; expected completion November 2014
  • SR 670 (Wayne County) and SR 402  (Pike County), repaving (8 miles), Wayne and Pike Counties – $3.5 million; expected completion July 2015
  • SR 706, Rush and various other municipalities repaving (16 miles), Susquehanna County – $6 million; expected completion June 2015
  • SR 1001, Bridge Replacement, Larksville Borough over Brown’s Creek, Luzerne County – $443,000; expected completion October 2014
  • SR 1026, Bridge Replacement, Dallas Township over Leonard’s Creek Pike Paving, Luzerne County – $647,000; expected completion November 2015
  • SR 3021 – Bridge Replacement – Scranton, Stafford Avenue over Meadow Brook, Lackawanna County – $1 million; expected completion June 2016
  • SR 6011, repaving Harrison Avenue from Moosic Street to North Blakely Street, (10.37 miles), SR 6 Clarks Summit from Turnpike to D&H Railroad, SR 247 Wildcat Road in Blakely/Archbald/Scott/Greenfield Townships, Lackawanna County – $5.27 million; expected completion July 2015
  • T-412 – Bridge Replacement – Jefferson Township, Lackawanna County – $443,000; expected completion November 2014

Expected to Be Bid

  • T-367 Wangum Bridge (local), bridge replacement, Wayne County $1.4 million estimate, expected start date January 2015
